check-up

i had my 2 month check-up with the doctor this morning. here i am in the car on the way there, looking pensive. what was in store for me today?


as it turns out, it wasn't so bad at all. points of interest:

- i have a flat spot on the right side of my head! the doctor said this is pretty normal since babies have to sleep on their backs these days, and that my flattening isn't very serious. but mom and dad have to do some things to make sure it doesn't get worse, so it will go away eventually. they have to start alternating what end of the bassinet they put me to sleep in, and get me used to tummy time (they should have fun with that one, i HATE tummy time!).

- i peed on the examination table. i love peeing when my diaper is off. why would i want to sit around in a wet diaper? i'm no dummy.

- i was 14 lbs 4 oz when i was weighed at public health yesterday. but they weighed me with my clothes and diaper on. today i got weighed in my birthday suit. apparently all that extra stuff weighed 2 oz, because my official birthday suit weight is 14 lbs 2 oz. which is big, by the way. i'm heavier than 97% of babies my age!

- i'm also long and i have a big pumpkin head. i'm 60 cms long which means i'm longer than 90% of babies my age. my head is 40.5 cm around, which puts me in the 90th percentile there too. holy moses!

my next appointment is august 17th. i'll be 4 whole months old then. time is going so fast!!
